Mark is a family man in his 50’s based near Preston with 35+ years experience, primarily in Aerospace Engineering as engineer and in management.
He formed FloorSlip after a long association with Andrew Wylie (see below) when Andrew found architects, builders and designers chose to ignore or did not understand floors must be safe when specified and the majority are not; furthermore many floor and floor coating companies offer products based on Pendulum Testing they conducted themselves, it was not independent, many of the test equipments weren’t calibrated or the tests conducted were flawed. It was time for a change and FloorSlip was formed.
Floor testing for Mark was a natural extension of many years of aerospace testing -
“The Floor Pendulum Test Equipment might look simple and appear simple to operate, and it is, but if the floor testing and associated risk assessments are not conducted properly then a floor will be as unsafe as an aircraft that has not been tested properly and there will be a ‘slip up’ and someone could die or be seriously injured as a result”
